6.04 Snapshot functionality

A snapshot is a copy of Cloud Server content taken at a specific moment in time: an image of the whole Cloud Server both for the data structure and for the system configurations. Networks and computational resources are not saved, only hard disks and their configuration are restored. Creating and keeping a snapshot is free of charge.
By restoring a snapshot, the Cloud Server can be recovered so that it corresponds perfectly to the moment the snapshot was created.

Rules to follow:
  • only one snapshot can be created at a time;
  • creating a snapshot requires a minimum of 10% free disk space;
  • once the snapshot has been created, it will be kept for 48 hours before being deleted;
  • when the snapshot function is switched on, only RAM and vCPU values can be edited;
  • when the snapshot function is switched on, Cloud Servers cannot be archived;
  • to restore from a snapshot, the Cloud Server must be switched off;
  • once restoration is complete, the snapshot will be deleted.
From the Control Panel you can:
